My Grandma has Alzheimer’s
Sometimes we do art together because I am an artist and so is she. I wish that she didn’t have Alzheimer’s.
I love grandma but she has Alzheimer’s and my mum needs to take care of her all the time so when I go home my mum’s not there. My grandma thinks my name is Sylvia which is her mum’s best friend. She asks me to get stuff for her, which I know she can’t have because she also has diabetes and sometimes she snaps at me for no reason. Sometimes she thinks it’s 1970. It can be really sad because she is only 70 and has to be at a nursing home and because sometimes she is mean to me but, I know she loves me. One time we were out at dinner and she asked where her mum was who died when she was 30. So it can be really scary for me but I know she loves me. Sometimes we do art together because I am an artist and so is she. I wish that she didn’t have Alzheimer’s.
