My name’s Leon and I’m 8 years old. I live with my mum and Abuela, my grandmother. Mum’s always at work so Abuela and me are together a lot. Now Abuela’s got Alzheimer’s Disease. She used to look after me but now it’s more like I have to look after her. I walk to school by myself and get my own snacks, and I ask Abuela if she wants some too. We used to do fun stuff together and she made me laugh, but she’s mostly quiet now. I can still make her laugh and that’s really cool. Mum says I’m the best at making her laugh. I think she’s right.
